These terms govern access to and use of the website published at lifelidar.com by LIFeLiDAR SAS. They are written in English. The French translation, when published, has the same legal effect.
01 · Acceptance
By accessing this site, the visitor confirms that they have read these terms and accept them without reservation. A visitor who does not accept the terms must refrain from using the site. Continued use after publication of a revised version of these terms constitutes acceptance of the revision.
02 · Scope of the site
The site is published for the purpose of presenting the activity of LIFeLiDAR SAS, including the design and manufacture of laser-induced fluorescence instruments, associated services, and the team's research record. It is addressed to professional audiences in scientific, environmental, and industrial contexts.
The site does not sell goods or services online. Commercial transactions are concluded out of band by written quotation, purchase order, and contract.
03 · Accuracy of content
Reasonable care is taken to ensure that the information published on the site is accurate at the time of publication. Instrument specifications, measurement ranges, field statistics, and project descriptions evolve as designs are revised and as programmes progress. Figures and parameters stated on the site are indicative and do not constitute a contractual offer. Contractual specifications are issued in the technical datasheet attached to a commercial proposal.
04 · Intellectual property
The site, its structure, source code, written content, visual identity, instrument imagery, diagrams, and the data presented in figures are protected by intellectual property rights and are the property of LIFeLiDAR SAS or are used with permission. Reproduction, representation, modification, adaptation, distribution, or commercial exploitation of any element, in whole or in part, by any means and on any medium, requires the prior written authorisation of the company.
Citation of figures, parameters, or short text excerpts for academic, editorial, or press purposes is permitted on condition that the source is named (LIFeLiDAR, lifelidar.com) and that the citation does not misrepresent the original meaning. Press requests are routed to info@lifelidar.com — see also the press kit linked below.
The LIFeLiDAR name, logo, and product designations are distinctive signs of LIFeLiDAR SAS. Any use of these signs without prior authorisation constitutes infringement under Articles L. 713-2 and L. 713-3 of the French Intellectual Property Code.
05 · Acceptable use
The visitor agrees not to:
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the site, server, or connected systems;
- introduce malicious code, conduct automated scraping at a rate that interferes with normal operation, or otherwise compromise the integrity or availability of the site;
- reproduce, mirror, or republish the site or any substantial part of it without prior written authorisation;
- use the site, the contact form, or the published email addresses for unsolicited commercial communication, harvesting, or other purposes incompatible with the stated scope of the site.
LIFeLiDAR SAS reserves the right to take any technical and legal measures it considers necessary to enforce these obligations.
06 · Liability
The site is made available on an "as is" basis. LIFeLiDAR SAS undertakes reasonable efforts to maintain availability and accuracy but does not warrant that the site will be free of interruption, error, or that the information published is fit for any particular purpose of the visitor.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, LIFeLiDAR SAS shall not be held liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from the use of, or the inability to use, the site, including loss of data, loss of profit, business interruption, or any decision taken on the basis of information published on the site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under French law, including liability for fraud or gross negligence.
07 · External links
The site may contain links to third-party resources, including journal articles, partner organisations, funding bodies, and supervisory authorities. These links are provided for reference. LIFeLiDAR SAS does not control the content of third-party sites and accepts no responsibility for their content, availability, policies, or any consequence arising from their use. Inclusion of a link does not imply endorsement.
Inbound links to the site are welcome provided they identify the source clearly and do not present the linked content in a misleading or defamatory context.
08 · Personal data
Processing of personal data through the site is described in the GDPR notice. Requests relating to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, or objection are handled by the contact stated there. These terms do not override or limit any right that the data subject holds under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 or the French Loi Informatique et Libertés.
09 · Modifications
LIFeLiDAR SAS may modify these terms at any time to reflect changes in the activity, the technical configuration of the site, the regulatory environment, or published guidance. The applicable version is the one published on the site at the moment of access. Material changes are signalled on the page; routine clarifications are not.
10 · Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by French law. Any dispute relating to the validity, interpretation, performance, or termination of these terms that cannot be settled amicably shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts within the territorial competence of the registered office of LIFeLiDAR SAS, even in the event of summary proceedings, plurality of defendants, or third-party claims, to the extent permitted by mandatory rules of procedure.
